The Party
The Party, Part II: The Trampoline
I spent some time the last couple of weekends cleaning off the trampoline from where we stored it over the winter (off the grass) and when the first few showed up for the party, we put them to work moving it back to the backyard.
It was a hit.
Especially for Wesley.
And Piper.
And Aubrey.
And everyone else.
Everyone.
Determination: A Thousand Words
Cast: Kyla’s the one in orange and a helmet.
Piper is the lower one with an orange shirt.
Aubrey has the pink shirt.
Next year, Mama.
Hot Wheels!
On what promised to be the first day of Seattle summer, weather-wise, I took our kids plus Aubrey to the local school ground for some bike riding.
First, Wesley loved how his stained yellow shirt matched his stained yellow hot rod so well. And this guy likes cruising it. Vroom, vroom.
This is our big news. Kyla can ride—mostly—on just two wheels now! It was kind of an accident as I brought her down today to start our first lesson, but the training wheels got quite askew in the car and were up so high that she couldn’t use them. And she just rode! Not perfectly, as more than half the time she needs some help starting, but she did it and didn’t complain when she fell and scraped her knees. (Hmmm, I should probably fill up her tires. A partly-flat tire probably gives her more drag than balance.)
Aubrey was cute because she wanted to learn how to do flips and jumps on her scooter. So, thanks to the miracle of photography, I was able to take pictures of her doing her tricks. However, she did them so fast and my camera is so slow that you’ll just half to trust me that she pulled off a double-axle half-twist flip. Ta da!
