Gramma, we got a picture of the grandkids together! It took a couple of dozen shots to get this one, but it will be on the cover of your not-so-surprise calendar this year.
More spoiled surprises—I thought this was a pretty funny moment in between trying to convince Wesley that he does like squash with brown sugar (15 minutes later—“Mama, I DO like this!”) and Kyla that her chicken would cool down soon.
Wesley: Daddy, I got you racquetballs today!
Girls: Sshhh, Wesley—that’s a surprise.
Mama: Well, Daddy can be surprised right now.
Kyla: Well, he doesn’t know where we’ve hid them.
Piper: It’s somewhere in your room, Daddy.
Wesley: It’s under your pillow, Dad!
Daddy: Thanks, kids!

Oh man, that was the best we got? Five stunned kiddos? I suppose that's to be expected after a day at the zoo, right before bedtime.
