Woodinville's birthday is April 1, and every year, on the Saturday before April Fools' Day, the city hosts a local parade, Bassett hound events, and a food and arts fair. Our family marched (meandered) with our church to advertise our VBS program. Afterwards, we got an elephant ear and watched the rest of the parade go by. Kyla got a Liberty visor to complete her weary countenance. A good, dry time was had by all.

Lionized
A moment to brag about my husband:
Dwayne (with friends) built and poured this stairset in our backyard the first summer we moved here. During his month off after Piper was born, he was able to start the finishing work on it, beginning with the banister. He's always wanted lions on top of columns and, as you can see, he pulled the look off beautifully!

Family Day at the Zoo
Dwayne and I took the girls to Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. I pride myself that I am able to walk around the zoo while nursing Piper. Dwayne got to chase Kyla. Being the girl that she is, Kyla does not stand for the sedentary nature of a stroller ride for long. The toddler leash was a good investment....
(Guessing game: Kyla is wearing the blue dress.)
